DUBAI: Emirates is accelerating its A350 rollout with the addition of seven new destinations across the Middle East, Europe, and Asia.

The airline’s latest expansion will introduce the aircraft on services to Tunis, Amman, Istanbul, Dammam, Ho Chi Minh City, Baghdad, and Oslo as part of its summer schedule.

The airline’s A350 fleet, which features its latest cabin innovations, will also make its debut in Africa and Southeast Asia, marking a significant milestone in the deployment of the aircraft.

Emirates has further announced that Bahrain and Kuwait will see an increase in A350 services, while Bologna will receive the aircraft earlier than initially planned.

New routes announced

From 1 June, Emirates will operate the A350 six times weekly to Tunis (EK 747/748), excluding Tuesdays. The aircraft will also commence daily flights to Amman (EK 905/906) on the same date. One month later, on 1 July, Emirates will introduce daily A350 flights to Istanbul (EK 117/118).

The aircraft will also make its first appearance in Saudi Arabia, with Dammam flights EK 827/828 launching on 1 July. Emirates’ inaugural A350 service to Southeast Asia will commence on 1 August, with daily flights to Ho Chi Minh City (EK 364/365). Meanwhile, Baghdad will receive A350 services three times weekly (EK 941/942) from 3 August, and Oslo will join the network on 1 September, with daily flights on EK 159/160.

According to Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Emirates Airline, the A350’s operational efficiency and flexibility allow the airline to strategically expand into diverse geographies while elevating customer experience.

More A350 deployments

Beyond the newly announced destinations, Emirates is increasing A350 frequencies on existing routes. Bahrain will soon see three daily A350 flights, making it a nearly all-A350 operation from 1 June with the addition of flight EK 835/836.

Kuwait will also receive an extra A350 service from 1 October, bringing the total to two daily flights on EK 857/858. Additionally, Bologna’s first A350 deployment has been brought forward to 1 June, ahead of its originally scheduled launch.

Emirates has indicated that additional A350 destinations, including long-haul routes, will be announced in the coming months as more aircraft are delivered. The airline has stated that if deliveries arrive ahead of schedule, certain A350 services could be launched earlier than currently planned.
